Teaching Role
At Changshu No. 1 High School, I worked as a 3D Modelling Adviser, teaching students SolidWorks and Blender while leading projects such as designing the school mascot and digitally recreating local heritage interiors. This role combined education, design, and cultural preservation through modern digital tools.
Time-lapse Tutorial
These timelapse videos condense my full narrated tutorials into a faster format, created as teaching aids to demonstrate the step-by-step process of building 3D models in SolidWorks and Blender. They showcase the complete workflow while making it easier for students to grasp complex techniques more quickly and confidently.
The 斗拱 (dougong) is a traditional Chinese architectural element consisting of interlocking wooden brackets that transfer the weight of the roof to the supporting columns. Beyond their structural role, dougong are also highly decorative, representing both craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
The above timelapse video shows my 3D modeling process of a dougong,.
The 月梁 (yueliang, “moon beam”) is a distinctive curved beam in traditional Chinese architecture, designed to span wide spaces while adding elegance to the structure. Its graceful arc is both functional and aesthetic, embodying the harmony of strength and beauty in classical design.
